Graphics:
Many of the documents distributed here were
produced with with the program latex2html. This program
translates a LaTeX document into an HTML document.
It creates GIF images of the math symbols which cannot be created with
plain HTML and so these files are very "graphics intensive".
For this reason, we do not recommend these pages for people with text based
browsers (such as Lynx) or people who are using a slow modem. We do
recommend the use of the browser Netscape so that you can read the
pages while they are loading.
Some browsers, such as Mosaic, may require a separate program to open
some of the GIF illustrations which are distributed here. The GIF
images here make use of the GIF89 standards and include "transparency"
and "interleaving" effects. You should have no problems even if your
browser or GIF viewer does not support these features.
