Introduction

My current research interests lie somewhere between algebraic geometry, topology, and representation theory. I am particularly interested in those areas which are related to topological (or cohomological) quantum field theories inspired by physics.

Much of my recent work involves moduli spaces of complex curves (or Riemann surfaces) and their cousins. These moduli spaces are often responsible for associating to a manifold with some additional data, e.g. a symplectic structure, an algebraic structure which is an invariant of this data. My work in these areas involves Gromov-Witten theory, higher spin curves and the KdV integrable hierarchy, as well as admissible covers and stringy cohomology.
