After-t3-grades will be calculated as follows: Attendance = 2 units, tests were 3 units each. Two units are dropped. Example 1: Att=40, t1=28, t2=30=t3. 80 plus 28 plus 180 is 288; divided by 9 is 32 (which means B+). Example 2: Att=26,t1=28, t1=30=t2=t3. 270 divided by 9 is 30 (means B). (In other words, the two worst units dropped, remaining 9 averaged). To get the letter grade, I will be using the following Scale: C-: [1.5,1.8], C: [1.9,2.1], C+: [2.2,2.45], B-: [2.55,2.8], B: [2.9,3.1],B+: [3.2,3.45],A-: [3.55,3.75], A: [3.85,4]. Cases which are not determined by that scale, I will decide myself about (on a case-by-case basis).
The NO-FINAL option: If you do not show up on the Final, I will enter your after-t3-letter-grade into the grade sheet. As soon as you get the Final Test into your hands, the After-the-Final formula (which was on the syllabus right away) will be applied to figure out your grade for the class. Hope the above is clear enough.
Attendance grade is out of 40 (each meeting missed, starting with the 2nd one, is 2pts off). It will be posted on the courseinfo site.
After-test 3 letter grades will be posted on the courseinfo site, too.
