Content of Course:

This course is a graduate level introduction to complex analysis. I will assume you have a solid background in undergraduate analysis and the writing of rigorous proofs. You need not have taken an undergraduate course in complex analysis. Your grade will be based entirely on homework assignments, which will be assigned approximately every one-two weeks throughout the semester. Here is the syllabus.

• HW 1, due Tuesday, 1/30: Chapter 1, exercises 1, 3, 7, 10-13.
• HW 2, due Thursday, 2/8: Chapter 1, exercises 14, 16a-d, 17-19, 24-26.
• HW 3, due Tuesday, 2/27: Chapter 2, exercises 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 10, 13, 15.
• HW 4, due Tuesday, 3/20: Chapter 3, exercises 1, 2, 3, 13, 14, 16, 17.
• HW 5, due Tuesday, 4/3: Chapter 3, exercises 19, 20, 21ab, 22.
• HW 6, due Thursday, 4/12: Chapter 4, exercises 1, 2, 4, 8.
• HW 7, due Tuesday, 4/24: Chapter 5, exercises 2, 6, 8, 10, 11, 13
• HW 8, due Tuesday, 5/1, by 5pm in my mailbox in MCS 142: Chapter 8, exercises 5, 9, 12, 14.
