Quantitative Research Paper Details
For those interested, here are some details regarding the
quantitative research paper.
1. The
quantitative research paper must follow all of the guidelines for the
standard research paper.
2. The
main difference between a quantitative research paper and a standard
research paper is that, in the quantitative paper, you must compare and contrast two or more existing
mathematical models of an ecological system.
3. In
the quantitative research paper, you must describe in detail the
models (identify the variables, the parameters, how the two are
related, . . . ). You must also answer more general "big
picture" questions about the model. For example:
4. To
undertake a quantitative research paper, you must obtain approval both
from your TF and from me.
Remember the quantitative research paper is optional (although the research
paper itself is not!)
