MA 225 Section A: End of Semester Grades

Please read this: Your grades have now been computed and submitted to the Registrar's Office. In a couple of weeks, you may want to confirm that the grade that is given here agrees with the grade that is recorded on your transcript. I believe that you can do that by calling TelGrade (617-353-6561) or via the web at www.bu.edu/studentlink.

Your course grade has been computed according to the grading scheme that was stated on the syllabus at the beginning of the semester. That scheme already makes an allowance for one bad exam. No factors other than your performance on the exams and your discussion section grade go into the determination of your course grade.

If you would like to see how you did on your final, you can see me at my office hours during the spring semester.

I try to be especially careful when I compute your grade, but if you think that I have made a mistake in the computation, then you can check with me next semester. I will return from the annual AMS meeting in Baltimore just before classes start on January 13. In general I prefer to deal with questions about grades in person rather than by email.

Have a happy and safe holiday break. Your grades can be found at http://math.bu.edu/people/paul/225/grades.html.
