There are many books that describe how to use MATLAB. I've had good luck with "Mastering MATLAB 5" by Duane Hanselman and Bruce Littlefield. However, if you just want a brief introduction, here are a few possibilities:

• http://scv.bu.edu/SCV/Tutorials/MATLAB/ is a reasonably succinct introduction.
• MATLAB comes with two built-in introductions: At the MATLAB prompt, you can type either tour or demo.
• MATLAB Summary and Tutorial is courtesy of the Department of Mathematics at The University of Florida.
• A Practical Introduction to Matlab is courtesy of Mark S. Gockenbach at Michigan Technological University.
