The first exam on February 17 will cover all of Chapter 1 of the textbook except the Linearization Theorem that is discussed on page 86.

The textbook has "review" exercises at the end of each chapter. They are handy when you are studying for the exam because you don't know what section (or sections) they come from.

The first 10 review exercises in Chapter 1 are "short answer exercises." You should be able to answer them quickly. Most are very straightfoward, but a few are a little tricky.

If you decide to try some review exercises after you have finished the assignment above, I suggest that you avoid Exercises 43 and 44.
