Final Exam Fact Sheet

Location and Time: The final examination for this course will be held on Saturday, May 6, 9-11, in Stone B50 (our usual classroom). This is the time that the University has scheduled for our final, and all students must take the final as scheduled. Please bring your BU ids and a pen or pencil. You will not be able to refer to any books or other papers. You may use a calculator.

Course Material:

Getting Help and Exam III:

I will hold office hours Tuesday, May 2, 11-12, and Thursday, May 4, 11-12. My office is MCS 255.

You can pick up your third exam from Sebastian at one of his office hours during finals period. He will hold office hours Wednesday, May 3, 11-1, and Friday, May 5, 11-1. Sebastian's office is MCS B44.

Course Grades:

You can get your course grade from the Registrar's Office using the Student Link. Also, we will post the grades on the Courseinfo site for this class.

Your course grade will be computed according to the grading scheme that was given on the syllabus. That scheme already makes an allowance for one bad exam. No factors other than your performance on the exams and your discussion section grade are considered when I compute your overall course grade.

I try to be especially careful when I compute your grade. The computations are checked and double checked, so I would be surprised if there are mistakes. However, if you think that I have made a mistake in the computation, then you can check with me after May 14. I will not respond to email that arrives before then, and I will not respond to email that does not come from your BU account. One exception: If you are a graduating senior and have a question about your grade, you may contact me any time after grades are posted. Please don't send email that essentially amounts to begging for a slightly higher grade.

Good luck during finals and have a pleasant summer.
