Final Exam Fact Sheet

Location and Time:
The final examination for this course will be held on Wednesday, December 18, 9-11, in MCS 148 (our usual classroom). This is the time that the University has scheduled for our final, and all students must take the final as scheduled. Please bring your BU ids and a pen or pencil. You will not be able to refer to any books or other papers. You may use a calculator.

Course Material:

All supplementary material discussed in class will be covered.

Getting Help:
I will hold office hours on Friday, December 13, 11-12, and on Tuesday, December 17, 11-12. My office is MCS 255.

Course Grades:

You can get your course grade from the Registrar's Office using the Student Link or TelGrade. Also, I will post the grades on the course WebCT site, and I will send email to the class email list as soon as the grades are available.

Your course grade will be computed according to the grading scheme that was given on the syllabus. That scheme already makes an allowance for one bad exam. No factors other than your performance on the exams, your projects, and your homework are considered when I compute your overall course grade.

I try to be especially careful when I compute your grade. The computations are checked and double checked, so I would be surprised if there are mistakes. However, if you think that I have made a mistake in the computation, then you can check with me after the first of the year. I will not respond to email that arrives before then, and I will not respond to email that does not come from your BU account. Please don't send email that essentially amounts to begging for a slightly higher grade.

Good luck during finals and have a pleasant holiday season.
