Animations for Multivariate Calculus
and Differential Equations
Paul Blanchard

I illustrated the use of Martin Kraus's Live java applet to control 3D Mathematica graphics in real time. I also showed a number of Quicktime animations. You can see all of my multivariate animations and demos by going to the classroom demos section of my MA 225 course web page for Fall 2001. I've also collected the ones that I used in my talk on a separate web page.

During the last 15 minutes of the talk, I illustrated how I go about making these animations. Here are some of the Mathematica notebooks that I used:

You also need to get the Java applet from Martin Kraus, and you may want to download more recent versions of the preceding two Mathematica notebooks using links on his pages.
