PROMYS is a six-week summer program at Boston University designed to encourage
motivated high school students to explore the creative world of mathematics
in a supportive community of peers, counselors, research mathematicians,
and visiting scientists.
PROMYS 2008 is from June 29 to August 9.
Student,
counselor, and
teacher applications
are now available.
The Clay Mathematics Institute (CMI) and PROMYS are offering new advanced
seminars for returning PROMYS students.
Scholarships
PROMYS is dedicated to the principle that no one will be unable to
attend for
financial reasons. In addition to
generous contributions from The MathWorks, Inc. to
provide need-based support for high school students, we also offer
merit-based scholarships. This year we are proud to announce that the
American Mathematical Society (AMS) is offering a full scholarship to a
high school student, called the Ky and Yu-fen Fan Scholarship.
In addition, PROMYS will be granting two scholarships (to one male and one female student) among American Regions Math League (ARML)
participants who qualify for the program. To be eligible, you must fill
out and send in the PROMYS-ARML application form by the deadline. (External links will open in new windows.)
