Elementary Number Theory

(MA 341)

In this class we will be concerned with the basics principles of elementary number theory. We will talk about prime numbers, divisibility, congruences, quadratic residues, factorization and more. While discussing these concepts we will also go over basic applications of elementary number theory to classical cryptography.
