Abstract

The simplest quasiordinary singularities are singularities of algebraic curves. We will explain the use of Newton trees in this case to calculate the invariants of the singularities. Then we will show how we can also define Newton trees in higher dimension and how to use them to compute invariants for the quasiordinary singularities of hypersurfaces.
