Chern-Simons perturbation theory and matrix models

Abstract: In
this talk I show that the partition function
of Chern-Simons theory can be written, for
a wide class
of rational homology spheres, in terms of
matrix models.
This provides a powerful method to compute
their universal
perturbative invariants (closely related to
the LMO invariant).
