The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Boston University is proud to host the fifth annual joint workshop between Boston University (Boston, MA, USA) and Keio University (Keio, JP). The purpose of these workshops is to expose graduate students, junior faculty and researchers to active areas of research in mathematics and statistics. This year's program will focus on number theory.
There is limited funding available to cover the local expenses of graduate students and postdocs from outside the Boston area. The funding has been allocated already.
On the opening evening of the workshop (9/8) there will be a contributed poster session. More details can be found on the scheduling page.
Workshop topics include:
Arithmetic geometry: ellpitic curves, Selmer groups, etc.
Iwasawa theory: p-adic L-functions, Euler systems, etc.
p-adic methods in number theory: representations of p-adic groups, eigenvarieties, etc.
