Moving the Cursor

To move your cursor to another part of the file, you may be able to use the arrow keys on right of the keyboard. This depends on the setup of your keyboard, and they do not always work properly. Below are listed the key sequences that allow you to move your cursor to various positions. Commands that begin with a C refer to holding down the Control or Ctrl key on the keyboard while typing the next letter. Commands that begin with a M refer to typing the Escape or Esc (F11 on a VT220) key once and letting go (just like typing any other character)and then typing the letter following the letter M. The Esc key is comonly referred to as the Meta key in Emacs documentation.
