The UNIX operating system's standard mail program (which is invoked
by typing mail at the UNIX prompt) does and adequate job
of handling electronic mail, but we think that other mail readers
are more intuitive and functional. The more commonly used mail readers
in the department are Elm, Pine, and RMAIL. You can choose from
any one of these.
Warning: After reading this chapter, you should decide
which mail reader you want to use and stick with it. It is not easy
to switch between mail programs.
