Palace on Wheels - Day Seven: Bharatpur, Rajasthan and Agra

The "Eastern Gateway to Rajasthan", it is well connected with three most important tourist destinations of India, namely Delhi (176 Kms), Agra (55 Kms) and Jaipur (176 Kms). Bharatpur is well known for the Keoladeo National Park, a unique bird place recognized by UNESCO as a world heritage site. The national park has more than 375 species of beautiful birds which include Kingfishers, Pelicans, Siberian Cranes, Painted Storks, Egrets, etc. There are also plenty of duck species, and predatory birds at the park. The park also has a few snakes. Bharatpur is also known for its rich historical past, which can be witnessed at the Lohagarh Fort, the Palace and Govt. Museum. Agra has the Taj Mahal, need I say more?
