  Title:
         Products of Eisenstein Series
         and Special Values of L-functions

Speaker:

          Grigor Grigorov (Harvard University)
Abstract: The goal of my talk would be to explain how one can build interesting cusp forms out of Eisenstein series. In the case of SL(2,Z) I will give an elementary proof of a formula which expresses the Petersson inner product of a cusp form and a product of Eisenstein series in terms of special L-values. At the end I will indicate how one generalizes this proof to congruence subgroups and explain the relation to modular symbols and Beilinson’s conjectures.
