I've been reading Kontsevich and Zagier's periods paper and I'd like to share the wealth by discussing their set up, examples, and conjectures. I'll particularly focus on the hopes with regards to axioms and algorithms for identities between periods, and on these topics share some additional intuition coming from my past life in logic.
