Directions to Boston University

The Boston University web site has maps and directions to campus.

By the T/Subway: The best subway stop for the conference is the BU Central Stop on the Boston College (the one with the football team) branch of the Green line. If you are heading west from downtown, it is the third above-ground stop after Kenmore Square. For events in the Math Department at 111 Cummington St, get off at the BU East Stop (one stop earlier). The Boston University web site has more information about public transportation.

By car: All of the directions on the main BU web site take you through Kenmore Square. Consequently, you will be approaching campus from the east.

On Friday, your best bet is to take Bay State Rd---a one-way street that heads west parallel to Comm Ave. Turn left when you get to Granby St and stay in the left lane. (Granby St is one way, too). You will then cross Comm Ave at a light, the trolley tracks, and turn left and then right in quick succession. If you preregistered, you can park in the Warren Towers garage (see the parking directions). If not, park on Cummington St at a meter (see the parking directions).

On Saturday, your best bet is to leave Kenmore Square along Comm Ave. Unfortunately, you will have to go all the way to St. Paul’s St/Buick St before you will be able to make a U-turn so that you can start heading east on Comm Ave. (See the parking directions and the conference map.)
