Getting Started with Mathematica

Mathematica, according to author Stephen Wolfram, is a general computer software system and language intended for mathematical and other applications. It has the capability to do calculations, visualize functions, provide a mathematical programming language, and much more. It takes advantage of the graphics capabilities of the workstations and can also be used to do calculations on a VT220 terminal without needing a graphics interface.
