If you've never used Mathematica before, or if you are familiar
with it but need a good reference book, the following text is the
definitive reference: Mathematica, A System for Doing Mathematics
by Computer, Second Edition, by Stephen Wolfram, Addison-Wesley
Publishing Company, Inc., 1991. ISBN Numbers: 0-201-51502-4/Hardbound,
0-201-51502-5/Paperback[27].
It is available in paperback from the Front Office of Information
Technology at 111 Cummington Street on the first floor for $32.
Another good resource for learning Mathematica is a series of
tutorials offered each semester by Information Technology entitled
Getting Started with Mathematica on UNIX, Part I and Part II.
These are hands-on two hour free tutorials. For more details on
these tutorials see the Tutorial Schedule available at the front
desk of Information Technology on the first floor. The handouts
from these tutorials are available for free at Information Technology's
front desk and they provide a good introduction to the topic[11].
