We will *not* hold class on Satuday, February 28.
You're encouraged to attend the Freedman Colloquium on Thursday, April 2, at 4pm in SCI 109. It will be given by Erik Demaine, from the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory at MIT, on "Folding Paper: Visual Art Meets Mathematics." There will be cookies at 3:30pm and a reception immediately following the talk, which will include an ice cream bar.

Textbook: "Calculus: Early Transcendentals," by Briggs and Cochran (First Edition). We will cover chapters 11-14.
Grading policy: grades will be based on homework (10%), three in-class tests -- your two best being worth 25% each and the remaining one worth 10%, and the final exam (30%). Please see the syllabus for more details

Midterm/Exam info:

For general information, please see the syllabus. Please note the dates of the in-class tests are February 13, March 25, and April 24. Information will be posted here, at least one week in advance, regarding which sections each in-class test will cover. The final exam will be cumulative.

Test 1, on Friday, February 13, will cover sections 11.1-11.7.
- Stats: Average: 77.49, Median: 80.5, High score: 99

Test 2, on Wednesday, March 25, will cover sections 11.8 and 12.1-12.8.
- Stats: Average: 68, Median: 68, High score: 100 (This is after a 13 point weight was added to everyone's score.)
